“constantly amazed”

What makes a good DM?  Someone who understands the rules of the game, how to manage a variety of players, and how to tell a story.  What makes a great DM?  Someone who creates ambiance, fosters creative thinking, and owns every NPC they voice as if it were their own character.  Then there is DM Charlie.  Every time he has run us through a session, I am constantly amazed at how effortlessly he makes things engaging, interesting, funny, and challenging for new and experienced players.  Charlie is a master of his craft.
